About The Artist

WHO IS DAVID ASCHENBRENER?

I was born in 1966. I went to school for art to be a painter. One day I found my way into a foundry, and now, 30 years later, I have created hundreds of unique bronze sculptures and other work. During this time, I worked in different foundries and metal shops, cofounded art galleries, and started my own company. I love what I do, and I hope you do, too.

ARTISTIC INFLUENCE

Nature is by far the most significant influence in my sculptures. Sculptors Henry Moore, Alexander Calder, and Brancusi have been influential and painters DeKooning, Basquiat, Matta, Bacon, and Miro. The wisdom of the elders, shamans, spirit guides, and storytellers I also find necessary.

I make art because it brings me Joy!

I wish to share this joy with others. We are surrounded by beauty, and I am blessed and give thanks every day to make art in reverence to this great gift.
